The chamber congratulates Jamie Like and Anita Frazer of Ruby Moon Vineyard & Winery, winners of the Small Business Persons of the Year Award in the 0-10 employee category. Henderson is now on the winery map because of their hard work and quality wines. And with their commitment to buying local fruits, cheeses and supplies as well as their recent expansion that created a larger tasting area and guest room for overnight visitors, Jamie and Anita have proven themselves to be invaluable members of our local economy.

The chamber would also like to congratulate Independence Bank for being selected in the 11-50 employees category as the Small Business of the Year. With its newly constructed branch location in the heart of Henderson, the hosting of a free Martina McBride outdoor concert and an overall commitment to Henderson County, Independence Bank had an amazing year in 2011. Great job Independence Bank of Henderson County!

In case you couldn't make it to the breakfast, video of the morning is available below. Dr. Mohammed Khayum, dean of the College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana, was the featured speaker. His ideas on the role that customer experience play in boosting a business's bottom line are exemplified by both award winners and therefore should be carefully considered by all entrepreneurs!
